DPA d:vote 4099 U - Instrument Microphone Stereo Kit for Universal Instruments

The d:vote™ 4099U Universal Instrument Microphone is designed to address the unique mounting challenges of slim bodied and unusually shaped instruments. The design of the microphone clip includes a hook-and-loop fastener strap which allows it to fit instruments of varying sizes and diameters such as the oboe, clarinet, bassoon, recorder and flute.

The fastener strap pulls tight to fit the circumference of the instrument, like a wrist watch on your arm. On instruments of a large diameter, additional fastener straps can easily be added to extend the clip’s reach. The d:vote™ 4099U Universal Instrument Microphone is elegant, lightweight, unobtrusive and designed to stay out of the way during performances. The d:vote™ 4099U Universal Instrument Microphone includes a revolutionary ‘90°’ system which provides a wide range of mounting options. By detaching the clip from the gooseneck and re-mounting it turned 90°, the number of mic positions is doubled.

The d:vote™ 4099 Instrument Microphones series is truly a musician’s mic without equal. This series allows you to achieve the purest reproduction of your instrument. The d:vote™ 4099U Universal Clip Microphone includes a 3-pin XLR phantom power adapter. The UC4099 Universal Clip is available separately, and can be used with any of the d:vote™ 4099 Instrument Microphones.

Optional gooseneck extension

The standard gooseneck length is 140 mm (5.5 in). An optional gooseneck extension unit is also available. This adds 50% extra length, which helps reach the sweet spot for some instruments.
 
Detachable cables

The d:vote™ 4099 Instrument Microphone series features cables that are detachable from the gooseneck. This makes it more convenient to mount the mic on an instrument before connecting it. The microphone comes with the 1.6 mm (0.06 in) miniature cable, which is appropriate for personal mounting on instruments. The heavy duty 2.2 mm (0.09 in) cable is ideal for PA and live gigs. You can choose between the different cable qualities, to tailor your mic to a specific task.
